​My short fiction, non-fiction, and essays have appeared in numerous literary journals, anthologies and magazines in print and online over the years. My 2010 story, “Deer Season,” was a finalist for the Chicago Tribune’s Nelson Algren Short Story Award. “Clutter,” which was published in Elm Leaves Journal, received special mention in the 2016 Pushcart Prize Anthology. That same year my novella, Mycology, won the Wild Onion Novella Prize. It was published in 2017. A Sign of the Times, which  originated from a story of the same name published in The Atlantic, will be published in November of 2026 by Vine Leaves Press. In addition to writing, I am a ceramicist and graphic designer focused on supporting projects advancing the arts.
